I'm Ian Irving and the focus of today's show.

We'll be on the news that we broke yesterday

that Chelsea, are growing in

confidence over the signing of Manchester City and England forward Rahim Sterling.

To help me dig a little deeper, I've got three of the Athletics finest with us today.

Manchester City writer Sam Lee, Chelsea writer Simon Johnson and football correspondent David

Ornstein. Hello everyone. Now this should be interesting.

There's lots of strands to this. There's lots of moving parts at both ends. But Simon, after that

piece yesterday that you and Sam wrote about Rahim Sterling, how has Chelsea's confidence grown

exactly? Reheme Sterling has been asking questions to people that he knows about Thomas Tuchel,

how he acts as a coach, what he's like, what Chelsea's like as a club to play for,

the inner workings.

And when a player does that, they're doing it for obvious reasons.

They're keen to go.

And from what I'm hearing, he's liking the sound of

playing for Chelsea. And why wouldn't he, if he is considering leaving Manchester City, it's a

chance for him to return to London. It's a chance for him to play for still a very good club

that competes for major silverware.

So he obviously knows some of the players in the dressing room too.

So it sort of, it ticks a lot of boxes for him right now.
