I'm doing great. I'm busy as F, but happy to be doing a show. We got a lot of stuff to do. It's been so long since we did a show.

It's, it's been like so, like I think the last time we did a show like Sam Bankman-Fried had money.

That's how long it's been. It's been a while. And Daniel LeGrandu in Las Vegas, Daniel, how are you, sir?

I'm doing good people. Back in my house,old is officially fixed. You breathe in and out,

nothing. I'm embracing the Christmas spirit. We had the Christmas tree up all year, but now we light it up

because it's Christmas. This year, because everyone's been telling me, if you don't, if you leave

your Christmas tree up after January 6th, you will have bad luck. And I, I know for, it's clear now

that the all ins that I've been having in 2022 were all dedicated to that tree. So January 2nd, that thing comes down. But I'm also embracing the season. This is a onesie, you know. This is the puppies on the onesie. You can see. It's like, that's a little puppy, puppy onesie. Yeah. So enjoying it. Comfort. I got two days off

because the day one A, B, C of the WPT main event going on, I qualified day one A, which gave me two

nice days to veg and back to work tomorrow. Well, two nice days to watch the prize pool grow

astronomically at the World Poker Championship. I think

sort of the talk of the poker world right now is the smashing success that this World

Poker Tour event is having at the win. Obviously, the win is a big part of that. Fantastic

venue to have a tournament like this. Everybody loves the win. Everybody loves playing there.

And they put on a great event. And they've really blown this one out of the water, whether you're talking about the 25K high roller. Daniel, I know you had a side bet with, who was it with? It wouldn't get over 100 runners, was it? Yeah. So with Chance Cornett. You know, and for me, like my thinking was, I've been playing some of the Ariria, you know, 10Ks that they have, like the daily events.

And the first one, you know, 12 people showed up.

We had 20 runners.

Then they didn't run. They canceled for a week. And then I'm like, this one got 12. And then they're talking about, oh, what's the old runner? 100 on 25 came like 25. If we're not really getting 20 people for this thing, 10 people, how you can get 100?

But I didn't realize like how many people specifically showed up to be part of the wind festivities. And I got to say, tip of the hat, for real, because they've gone above and beyond. They've spent oodles of money. They even had freaking dancers and a show and all kinds of speeches. And, you know, Isai Scheinberg was there. We'll get into that, I'm sure. But overall, I think it has the feel. I've been, you know, I'm on Twitter and I'm looking. I'm like, man, everyone's talking. This had the feel of like the early days of the WPT, you know, that big huge five diamond festival. And coming off of the Bellagio one, which was absolutely a letdown in every way. Like they filmed the final table and like the corner of the thing. It was just like, what did, what does it come to? To go from that, what they've created here at the wind with a ballroom and, you know, food options at the table and everything like that, they've really done a great job with the room. Yeah. And let me, sorry, Terrence, I just want to quickly mention you can't even really blame the schedule, right? Because we've got EPT, Prague, I believe, right now with over 1,000 runners, I want to say. So it's not, it's, I want to say it's because of the venue, right? I mean, the win is just fantastic. And obviously the the World Pokuto brand and Matt Savage, and they all run a great tournament. I get that. I think part of it was, you know, the promotion that they did, which was a $15 million guarantee, which is a lot. And then in addition to that, I think that they budgeted a shit ton of money to just give away packages. You know, we talked, I think, on the last podcast, or I don't know if we did, about sort of Alex Epstein and Nemo situation. I don't remember if we talked about it. Oh, so let's talk. Actually, let's get that to it real quick. So the World Poker Tour did sort of an interesting thing to a way to promote this tournament. And what they did was they went to some influencers, streamers, et cetera. And it wasn't just a poker. This was Nemo, I can't remember her name. She is a person who guest streamer. And they gave her a 10K seat to give away to her following. And what she ended up doing was giving it away to her boyfriend. She framed it as this random thing to all over. Well, yeah, first of all, she ran a contest. Right.

Right. To give it away to one of the first like 10 commenters on her thing. So if you're a fan, you're like, oh, wow, I have a chance to win, you know, this package. And it seemed as though, based on some, you know, text, whatever, was kind of predetermined that it was already going to him, which, you know, leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. She's apologists.
