Once upon a time there was a little girl named Marcella,

but everyone called her Marcy.

She spent a lot of time at Grandma's and loved to play up in the attic at Grandma's old

quaint house way out in the country because there were so many old forgotten things to find up there.

One day when Marcy was up in the attic and had played with the old spinning wheel until her arms got tired,

she curled up on an old velvet sofa to rest.

I wonder what is in that basket way back in the corner, she thought,

as she jumped from the sofa and climbed over two dusty trunks and a long box of ancient Christmas decorations.

I have to see.

It was quite dark back there, so when Marcy had pulled a large bundle of things from the basket,

she took them over to the dusty window where she could see better.

There was a funny little hat with long white ribbons. Of course, Marcy put it on.
