Rae Senarighi is a transgender non-binary artist currently based in Portland, OR. He is best known for vivid colorful abstracts, intricate typography and vivid portraiture. Rae began his studies at the University of Montana in 2000 and finished his BFA at the Art Institute of Seattle in 2009, receiving a Hall of Fame Award in 2011. His art has been internationally published in Cell, Nature and Science magazines and his graphic design and typography have been key features at Elevate Your Brand and Peaceful Media.

The thing about being transgender is that or non-binary is that this person, whoever it is in your life that may be exploring that

It's very, it's very, um, it takes a lot of bravery actually to explore the side of yourself because society has pretty strict rules about, you know, gender and binary in particular. So if someone is exploring that it's it's not something that they

do lightly you know it's something that they're trying to follow their own intuition

and listen to their own soul really and so even if it's hard for you just being able to

and at least ask questions or have conversations with them.
