which is all about the myths and legends of the South.

Yeah, in part one we covered the north and talked about the story within a story technique.

This time we'll consider those legends south of the neck.

If you didn't yet hear the northern episode, don't worry, this one will play fine as a standalone.

And today's overarching theme will be of the locality of legends, their place in society and their effect on the populace.

We believe George has put a good amount of thought into his universe mythos, and today we will

have it under close examination. We will make an extra effort to

explain where George might have drawn inspiration from and underline where there are

clear cultural nods and take the time to explain these parallels.

So locality influences will feature large today and you have a vast array of legends of ice and fire to draw from.

We'll begin in the reach with all father figure Garth Greenhand and his many children.

We'll also consider Sermon of the Mirror Shields exploits.

Then over to the Westerlands, Kolos gets a ray of sunshine and Trix to legend Land the Clever works his ambiguous talents. How did he winkle the rock? We have a thing

or two to say about that.

And the

stormlands will be up next where Duran becomes the God's grief and a perfect night rides into town.
