Hello and welcome to another episode of Radio Westeros.

I'm Lady Guinevere, and in this episode,

in the spirit of the many re-reads,

currently taking place across the fandom,

I'll be diving into an analysis of the prologue from a game of thrones. I'll begin with a general look

at the role prologue's play in introducing epic fantasy before diving into a reread style recap of the chapter, highlighting the elements that make

this prologue function as a standalone short horror story.

Then I'll move on to an analysis of some key points from the chapter,

including a close look at the others. The Big Bad briefly introduced to us in this

chapter, but just as quickly hidden off page again in the realm of legend.

We'll also consider whether the Knights Watch really does have business with the dead, and take a close

look at Sir Weimar Royce and his backstory, as well as what we know about his fellow

Knights Watchman, Will, and Garrett. Finally, we'll wrap it up with a look at the themes of

death and fear, which as we see it, are pretty

central to the narrative and are central to this chapter from the outset.
