Hello and welcome to another episode of Radio Estros.

I'm Lady Guinevere in Boston.

And I'm Yoke Boy in England.

And today we're bringing you an episode all about Balon Greyjoy, The Greyjoy, Lord Reaper of Pike, and King of the Iron Islands, however briefly.

Well we've covered the War of the Five Kings and all of the other Kings involved, so we thought it only fair to take a close look at

Baylon. We'll start with some Iron Islands and House Greyjoy history before talking our way through

what we know of

Baylon's early years, his ascent to the Seastone chair

and First Rebellion, the years following,

and his second Rebellion and Death.

And we'll close the episode with a look at the aftermath of

Baylon's death which concerns all of his family pretty closely.

And since two of his children and two of his brothers are POV characters, and we expect all of them to figure prominently in the action of the winds of winter, this should segue nicely into some upcoming things we have planned.

Speaking of the Winter, this episode contains spoilers for the unpublished sample chapter, The Fusaken.

We heard it read by George at Balticon in 2016 and we'll draw on

it in a few instances in this episode.

And we want to once again shout out Michael Clarfeld, whose Iron Islands map was released last year.
