0:39.7	Yeah in our last episode we started a series on the War of the Five Kings, which will be a three-parter.
0:45.8	This series on legends will also be three parts, and we thought rather than taking three in a row on
0:51.1	war and three in a row on legends that we'd mix things up and
0:54.4	take turns. Yeah it might be more interesting that way we think as we alternate
1:00.3	from the really serious war discussions to a lighter look at legends.
1:06.2	The concept behind this legend series is simple.
1:10.4	We're going to collect all the legends together by area. So today we're going to have the
1:16.2	Northern Legends and then in part two it will be the Southern Legends and go to Esoce and the East in part three.
1:24.0	And so today we have a detailed presentation on Legends of the North.
1:29.0	We'll begin by discussing the role that Legends play,
1:32.0	what categories they come under, and how they relate to northern culture.
1:37.0	Then we'll focus on legends from the age of heroes, where we'll interpret, analyze and theorize about all the stories such as The Long Night, The Last Hero, and Brandon the Builder.
1:49.0	Fans of speculation and crackpots are going to enjoy this section I think.
1:55.2	And next we'll look at the Knights Watch who have many legends mainly presented by Brans scary
2:00.3	trip to the Night Fork.
