We are very happy to be bringing you the first installment of our analysis of the War of the Five Kings.

What started out as a single episode grew to include episodes on Joffrey and Rendley and has now turned into a

sprawling three-part analysis here of the war that forms the backbone of the

action in a song of ice and fire.

Understanding the dynamics of this war is essential to having a grounding in so many of the

stories plots and characters.

And so we will be going in depth and detail here.

Yeah, in this first episode will start with the backstory of the war

and bring us through its prologue and opening chapters.

We'll begin by reviewing the five kings, the military commanders, and other major players,

and then we'll consider the origins of the conflict.

And of course we can't discuss every single character

but we'll try to hit the highlights and then the final segment today will be a complete analysis of the first stage of the war

when House Stark and House Lannister face off in the Riverlands.

war in chronological order where possible to better give you listeners a sense of
