Hi and welcome, thanks for tuning in to Radio Westeros today. I'm Lady Guinevere in Boston and my co-host as always is Yoke Boy from England.

Yeah, hi and today we will be talking about the one and only Stanis Barathian, a character who has gained a great

following of devoted fans. A man of justice with a military mind, we're very excited to be covering such an intriguing character today.

Okay so let's talk briefly about what we have lined up.

Joining us today is special guest Jeff Hartline who some of you might know as moderator Brendan Befish at

Reddit. Jeff also has a great blog called Wars and Politics of Ice and Fire

where military issues are never too far away. That's right we like Jeff's blog and with a

military background we thought he was just the right person to bring in for our

discussions on Stanis. So we'll have a quick overview about Stanis before launching into a discussion about his personality and that will be with Jeff.

Then we'll have a look at Davos and Mel as the two opposed voices perched on Stannis's shoulders, an assessment

of him as a military commander, again with Jeff, and also a look at the upcoming Battle of Ice

as we consider what's in store for Stannis, who's currently

holed up in that icy crofter's village. And then to finish, after all of that serious

Stannis chat, we'll have a talk about Stannis's humour as we find him completely hilarious.

We also have readings of the Gosh Hawk's speech and one of the best moments in the books so

far.
