I'm Mick Garrus, and this is Postmortem.

The horror franchise has been around practically since the horror film began.

In 1931, Frankenstein became a huge international hit,

which led to Bride of Frankenstein in 1935,

son of Frankenstein in 1939,

and then the ghost of Frankenstein in 1941.

Then, Frankenstein met the Wolfman,

followed by House of Frankenstein,

which was basically a sequel to Frankenstein meets the Wolfman,

where Lawrence Talbot faces off once again with the monster.

Ironically, the series came to a screeching halt

when Abbott and Castello met Frankenstein in 1947.

Although the film was a huge hit,

and even today packs revival screenings to the brim,
