Freshman Michael Hage scored on the power play in overtime

as Michigan defeated USA Hockey's National Team Development Program,

U-18 team, by a score of 4 to 3 in a Friday night exhibition game at Yosteis Arena.

Although they don't count in official statistics,

freshman Christian Humphreys and Hunter Haiti,

along with T.J. Hughes all scored for the first time this season for the Wolverines in a contest that featured four Michigan recruits in the lineup for the squad that wears the stars and stripes.

Michigan resumes regular season, non-conference play this coming weekend with a two-game series in Bean Town

against the number five ranked Boston University Terriers. Both games start at 7 o'clock,

and Al Randall and I will have the pregame show for you at 630. Associate head coach Rob Rossi

will join us on this week's show,

plus we'll feature a pair of graduate players forward Thomas Daskus and goalie Andrew Albano,

who saw his first game action as a Wolverine against the NTDP.

And Rob, I guess any discussion about Friday's 4-3 overtime victory

exhibition game against the National Team Development Program has to start with Andrew

Albano, who got his first Division I start and acquitted himself really, really well. So let's review Andrew's

performance, starting with how the decision was reached, I guess, to start him. You know, I think

Andrew is somebody who embodies what a Michigan man is. He is, if you ask any of his teammates, the ultimate teammate.
