0:22.5	Today's date is August 27, 2022, and today I'm going to be talking about the call of Elder
0:29.1	Kyle S. McCay to be the new church historian.
0:33.5	Elder Kyle S. McCay is of a special interest to me because he was my mission companion.
0:38.9	In Japan, in fact, he was my first missionary companion.
0:42.5	In Japan, he was my trainer missionary.
0:45.3	And we were missionary companions back in the months of January and February of 1980.
0:51.9	In a little town, way up in the mountains of Japan, called Fuku Chiyama.
0:57.0	But before I get to that, I would like to talk a little bit to my audience and give
1:00.6	you a report on Sunstone, which I attended back at the end of July, and where I presented
1:06.6	as well.
1:07.6	And then let you know a little bit about what's been going on with Radio Free Mormon.
1:11.8	Since then, I was very happy to meet a number of old friends and make some new friends
1:17.5	at Sunstone.
1:19.2	One of my new friends that I was able to meet again there was Richard Dutcher, famous
1:24.2	director, actor, writer, and film producer of such famous LDS films as God's Army, God's
1:30.9	Army 2, and Brigham City.
1:32.5	I am happy to report that Richard Dutcher has been gracious enough to agree to come
1:36.7	on Mormonism live in the next few weeks.
1:39.4	We'll get him scheduled in and we'll hear all about his past, his transition from Mormonism
1:45.1	and what very special project he is working on currently.
