Tonight's episode, Lecture 11, in my Defense of the Faith series.

I say that and I almost find myself saying defense against the Dark Arts series, but no,

this was my defending the faith series from Institute class back in the spring semester

of 1989 at the University of Texas at Austin.

Now, there were 12 classes, originally given I have some good news and some bad news

for you.

The bad news is that if you like this series of episodes, episode 12 managed to get

completely lost.

I have the tape for it, but it is blank.

There is no sound whatsoever on the tape.

This is explained by the fact that it is not the original tape.

I sent all of the originals to a little mom and pop shop in Utah somewhere called Tree

of Life Productions, and the idea was that they were interested in mass producing these

lectures and putting them on the market.

Well, I think they closed up shop pretty much around the time that I was sending these

to them.

They never got mass produced.

They never got produced even a little bit to my knowledge.

And so they returned to me the master tapes that they had created from the originals.

And by the time, many years later, that I finally listened to these tapes, I found out that
