0:21.0	Today's date is Father's Day, June 19, 2022, and in honor of the occasion, I'd like
0:27.8	to take the opportunity to introduce you to my father, whose name was Raymond.
0:32.7	My dad was born only a year after the end of World War I.
0:37.4	His birthday was December 26, 1919.
0:41.8	He used to say that he was so old he was born the day after Jesus.
0:45.6	Of course, he only said that after he began getting up there in years.
0:49.8	My dad passed away on March 9, 2011, at the ripe old age of 91.
0:56.0	But a year and a half before he passed away, he was up from Texas visiting me, and on
1:00.8	July 23, 2009, I set my dad down at the kitchen table, got my old tape recorder out, put
1:07.7	a cassette tape in, turned it on record, and began asking dad to tell some stories about
1:13.3	himself and about us as children.
1:16.1	My dad and my mom had three children, all of them boys, I am the youngest, surprise, surprise.
1:21.9	I'm the baby, gotta love me.
1:23.8	The oldest son was born in 1955, his name is Mark, that's my oldest brother.
1:29.1	The middle son is Cam, and he was born in 1958.
1:33.0	I was born in 1960, and after I was born, I guess they figured they couldn't do any better
1:38.1	so they stopped having kids after that.
1:40.3	At least, I choose to believe that was the reason they stopped having children after
1:44.5	me.
1:45.5	I have kept that cassette tape with me, ever since that time though I had not listened
