Summary

I was recently asked to do an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Mormon Reddit. Lots of great questions were asked and I did my best to answer in the limited amount of time I had! This episode is the audio version of the AMA, and includes some answers to questions that came in after the… Read More »Radio Free Mormon: 236: Ask Me Anything!!!

behind enemy lines. Tonight's episode might ask me anything on Mormon Reddit. But

0:23.0

before we get to the subject of tonight's podcast, I have a special announcement to make.

0:27.0

Bill Real and I have been concerned over the last several months, actually, as to the

0:31.9

theme song of Radio Free Mormon. Five years ago now, I came up with the idea of Radio

0:37.2

Free Mormon, and I simply asked Bill if he knew of any kind of martial music that might

0:42.3

be good. He searched through the internet, he came up with a great song, it was a song

0:46.3

I'd never heard before, it was a song he'd never heard before. But it worked perfectly,

1:22.2

really, really bad. Or at least I should say insufficient for our needs. One of them

1:27.5

was just a snare drum, beating out a staccato tattoo. And actually, I think that was the

1:32.1

best one of all those that Bill could find that we're not copyrighted. So we came up

1:36.0

with the idea of having a contest. Because I said, you know, we have a lot of talented

1:39.8

listeners out there, and I'll bet some of them would be able to come up with a version

1:44.2

of the same hymn, Simpert Paratus, which is obviously not a copyrighted song because

1:49.0

if it's age, but could do it in a different version that would not be copyrighted like
