In this episode, I focus primarily on my background as a lawyer in the criminal justice system.

I talk a little bit about conflicts of interest I talk about, the lawyer's code of professional

conduct, and then I bring this background to bear on the LDS church, and why it is that

the LDS church seems to have a penchant for lawyers, not only calling lawyers into positions

of leadership, but also having lawyers as a rule at the head of the Church Historians office.

The one exception to that being of course Leonard Erington back in the 1970s, but the church

seems to have rapidly realized their mistake in having a historian who is devoted to history,

and once Erington was put out of the office, the LDS church continued its regular practice

of putting lawyers in charge of the Church Historians office, which practice the church continues

to the present day.
