Tonight's episode, the Brad Wilcox Embrolio.

On February 6, 2022 Brad Wilcox, a counselor in the General Young Men's Presidency of the

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, gave a fireside in Alpine, Utah.

It was a multi-stake fireside for the youth of the Church.

Brad Wilcox is not only a general officer in the LDS Church, he is also a professor of

ancient scripture at BYU.

He has become somewhat well-known for the talks he gives to the youth of the Church and

which he has done for many, many years now.

In fact, almost identical versions of the talk he gave on February 6, 2022 were found

on the internet dating back as far as two years ago.

It is clear from the video of this fireside that Brad Wilcox has his talk largely memorized.

He refers to no notes during the course of his talk.

If you watch the video, you will see that the only time he uses notes is to refresh his

memory as to the names of the people who played the piano, gave the opening prayer, and

conducted the meeting in order to thank them by name.

Everything else was completely done without notes of any kind.

This talk was so controversial that it ended up creating a firestorm across the internet.

And yet, as I say, it was a talk that he has given many times before, and in fact, it

is the same kind of Mormonism that I heard growing up in the Church and by growing up

I mean after I joined the Church in 1978 at the age of 18.
