Well for tonight's episode, we have a very special announcement.

Listeners to this program will know that John Delin and I did a three-part 13-plus-hour interview with

Robert Rittner, perhaps the foremost Egyptologist in the Western Hemisphere.

And over the course of that interview,

we examined in some detail the Book of Abraham

and Joseph Smith's translation of not only the Papiry,

but also the three facsimiles

that are contained in the book of

Abraham they were measured in the balance and let's just say they were found

wanting also Carrie Mulestein and John Ghee two doctors of Egyptology who are employed by BYU, and who have a pretty much full-time job coming up with explanations and apologetics for the Book of Abraham, suffered a number of body blows during the course of that interview.

I had heard through the grapevine that the church and the apologist for the church were

planning some kind of response to this interview which lets me know that it is having an impact

not only in the post-Morman community but also in the Mormon community and

specifically within the Mormon apologetic community. Today's date is Wednesday, August 26, 2020, and yesterday,

yesterday on August 25th, 2020,

we began to see the shape that that response is taking.
