enemy lines. Tonight's episode Wednesday update there are a number of items that I want to announce

on today's podcast and some comments by listeners that I want to go over with you. The first announcement

has to do with the paper that I submitted to three different publications a few weeks ago. You

may recall that I did a three-part episode on the literary complexity of the Savior's visit

to the Nephites recorded in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi chapters 11 through 27. Although I had

written that paper some years ago, I had never submitted it anywhere for publication and once I

dusted it off and made some corrections, I had announced to you that I was submitting it to three

different publications. I have received rejection letters now from two of those three publications.

The first was from the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies. I heard back from them not too long

after I sent them a copy of the manuscript for their consideration. I was advised by the Journal

of Book of Mormon Studies that for the next year and a half they are going to be pursuing a certain

theme in their journal that the papers related to that theme are already in the can accepted and ready

to go and therefore my paper was rejected because they would not even be able to get around to

considering publishing it for another year and a half. So out of consideration to me they let me

know that so that I could pursue submitting it to other publications for their consideration.

Yesterday I heard back from the second publication which was BYU Studies and from the editor-in-chief

of BYU Studies, Steven Harper I received the following notification. Thank you for submitting

your manuscript to BYU Studies. I read it carefully shortly after receiving it. For the past six

weeks I have tried unsuccessfully to find qualified reviewers who have time and attention enough for it

because I have not been able to obtain qualified reviews and because I could not publish it for
