in the LDS church. Believe me I know I've studied them pretty much all of them

during that period of time when I was a Mormon apologist.

And frankly, it was the discovery that a lot of the apologetics that were being used and

that I used myself were bad

apologetics.

that led me when I say bad apologetics. Well, that is a broad category and it can cover a number of things.

First off, it can cover apologetics where the argument is fallacious, where it does not

lead logically to the desired conclusion. It can also involve apologetics that may give a good answer

to the question immediately before you, but have taken another step or two,

and extended to its logical conclusion ends up having absurd results.

But probably the worst kind of apologetics is the one that is false, not true, that contradicts the evidence and in fact is designed to keep the listener from finding out the truth about the subject.

Why on earth would an apologist want to keep a listener from finding out the truth about

a subject?

Well obviously because the truth about the subject does not help the position of the

apologist or the LDS church. Instead it harm. the about tonight's
