We all support human rights, right?

Especially in these trying times when laws are being rewritten to eliminate what rights we have for decades accepted as our legal rights.

But what if human rights, the very as are

understood today,

as they are understood today, leads to the inequality that undermines those very human rights we desire and demand.

What if under neoliberalism, human rights become yet another form of inequality?

What if the hyper-individualism of neoliberalism obscures from those of us who support human rights the

economic and social rights we need to live in a more equal and far less

unequal society and maybe more importantly what if there is another way in which we can

reinterpret and reimagine human rights? So they do more than they can under neoliberalism,

even challenging the idea that there is no alternative to neoliberalism.

I know, it's a lot of what ifs.
