I want to begin with a letter that I received recently that I think actually represents

the way a lot of people feel.

And it goes like this, Dear Pastor Rick, I am so tired of going through the motions.

I'm fed up with business as usual.

Nothing really excites me or energizes me anymore.

I've been in a slump for so long now.

I don't know if I can get out of it, but I don't like it one bit.

I'm filled with a jumble of emotions.

I'm frustrated.

I'm bored.

I'm unfulfilled.

I tend to focus on what's wrong and I could be cynical about everything.
