And the So, Oh, The UN General Assembly kicked off a marathon week of diplomacy with a summit for the future.

I called for this summit because our world is having off the rails.

Member states were tasked with reviving the United Nations. To do that an overwhelming

majority voted to adopt the Pact for the future on Sunday. The aim of it is to

address reforming the United Nations to make it more representative of the 21st century.

Our future is in our hands.

We have the power to make important charges for the future.

We stand at crossroads of global transformation. The Pact has lofty goals for eradicating poverty,

ending hunger, and building peaceful and inclusive societies.

In this pact for the future, reform has pride of place.

Revisionism should have no place at all.

At a time of great testing for the multilateral system

that's an accomplishment we can and we must build on in the years to come.

What does that mean for the United States

and the rest of the world?

Well, that's what we're gonna talk about today.

I'm Ken Michael, along with me is Pastor Josh Schwartz. And Josh Josh we've been hearing about what the

United Nations has been up to now since 2015 when they initiated their

sustainable goals memorandum and we're going to look at some of those. We're not going to go over all

of them today. A lot of it focuses on poverty and world health and the health and welfare of our children across the globe,

which sound like reasonable and attainable goals.
