This is a collaboration between the Chicago Orchestra Ensemble D'Aoniente,

the art rock icons, Diahoof, and the Brazilian composer Marcos Bauter.

The first half of the album is a collection of songs, but collectively known as Meltdown Upshot,

written by Marcos Bauter, about a very anxiety-ridden period of his life.

Then the second half of the album is pre-existing Deer-Hoof songs in like a chamber music style.

It's all been arranged by the Deer-Hoof drummer Greg Sornier.

Rachel Paris is a fantastic comic. She's been on the podcast before. We talked about Karima Walker's album Hands in Our Names. She didn't admit that 2016 was the greatest year for music of all time. But fingers crossed, I can convince her with this album. It's a bit more classically leaning. And Rachel studied that kind of music. I know that she knows her stuff.
