Thank you. True Crime Podcast. Ten months after the brutal killing of 37-year-old Rachel Moran, a suspect has been

charged for her murder.

23-year-old Victor Martinez-Hernandez was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, late in the night on

Friday, June 14th. He's been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape.

On August 5th, 2023, the mother of five had gone for a run along the Ma and Pa pedestrian trail in Bel Air, Maryland.

Her boyfriend had reported her missing when she never returned home.

The following day, Rachel's body was discovered on the trail.

Martinez-Hernandez was an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who had entered the country in February of 23.

A month prior to his entry, he had brutally murdered a young woman in his home country.

During their search for Rachel's killer, police discovered that the DNA of Martinez-Hernandez

was present in a Los Angeles home invasion that had occurred in March of 2023,

where he stood accused of attacking a nine-year-old girl and her mother in their home.

Martinez-Hernandez waived his right to extradition during an Oklahoma hearing on Monday

and will soon return to Maryland to face his charges.
