You know, it's actually my birthday today.

I wasn't sure if I was going to stay.

It just popped out.

So, you know, I think you allowed about my family.

I loved my mother, my father, that made this incredible

life that I'm living possible.

And a lot of times people have asked me,

how did you get into all this?

How did you get into the middle of this?

And I always joke, well, it depends on how far back

in the story we go.

But really, I like to go back to a story

that happened with my mother.

Because I think it was a moment that really sort of

changed my socialization, how I would live in the world

from that moment on.

I was in third grade, and my little sister

was in kindergarten.

And we would walk to the public school in Boulder,

Colorado, which was just a few blocks away.

And then we would come home for lunch, many times,

and have lunch at home, and then go back
