0:22.5	I grew up Gen X when maybe race relations weren't perfect.
0:26.8	But I got to watch them improve as I was an adult.
0:30.4	And even when something so savage and awful as the Rodney King beating happened in the early 90s when I was living in northern California, that man asked, can we all just get along?
0:46.4	And that was always the goal from when I was a kid.
0:49.8	I grew up after Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated and all of those awful things in the 60s, but the attitudes had changed.
0:59.0	We were really, I thought we were really trying to get along.
1:04.5	And over the last, I don't know, 10, 15 years or so, it seems like, not that we can't get along, but that we don't want to try so hard anymore to get along.
1:18.5	And I think there's a lot of this on both sides. Maybe I should say all the sides, since we got a whole lot of different colors in this wonderful, crazy mixed up country of
1:28.4	ours. So let me go to you first on this one. We're about the same age. We grew up with a lot of
1:34.8	the same stuff. What happened to that spirit, do you think? And we were talking about,
1:44.0	I don't want to kick a dead horse, but, you know, we were talking about, I don't want to kick a dead horse, but, you know, we were talking about, you know, Scott Adams.
1:50.4	And basically he's giving up on trying to get along, I guess.
1:54.5	At least he said, you know, I still think we should be friendly, but I think we just need to stay away from, you know, I guess, separate ourselves from each other and stuff like that.
