Hello again, I'm Armin Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International,

a daily look at the issues Americans care about most. The 1965 Voting Rights Act paved the way

for black voters in states where they'd been denied the franchise, despite the Bill of Rights

and the Civil War. In 2013, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that enforcement wasn't needed anymore.
