Brief prelude to this episode, had to cut out about 15 minutes.

Matt and I tried to explain the history of the user-activated soft fork on the fly

after getting a user contribution question, and after 15 minutes of discussion,

trying to put this together off the top of our heads

we realized how confused we were on the timeline and just had to cut everything so we are going to

organize our thoughts get a timeline together with pen and paper so that we can give you the true

history of the user activatedactivated soft fork.

So the contributor out there who paid for a contributor this week,

just know we are working on it.

But again, we couldn't do it on the fly.

It's a very dense subject with a lot of nuance

and a lot of different BIP numbers that you had to remember.

So we are going to try

and do that subject justice by getting our thoughts organized so I hope you enjoy the 45 minutes
