Welcome to Rules for Retrogrades, number 27.

And today we're, I'm here with Tim, of course, wave to the camera, Tim.

Today we're going to be talking about something that actually doesn't get much airtime.

It doesn't get much treatment in apologetics books.

It doesn't get much treatment really out there in the Catholic

blogosphere whatsoever. And that's, it's troublesome because this is a theme that we run into all

the time in family life. So I think somebody has needed to treat with vigor and dispatch the issue of the

Fourth Commandment and what exactly it entails because there's a lot of confusion out

there from, you know, there are some people of course and this is a societal bane, that

there's rebelliousness and disdain

for authority that is kind of rampant in society, especially as we're raising a more lawless

and illicit younger generation without the etiquette and manners that were, that kind of held society together that acted as its glue for many many years before those things have been lost quickly after the societal revolution of the 60s

but also because there is a tendency for for parents of this age but of ages, to kind of abuse their station of authority
