Hello, my friends. It's good to have you back here on the morning mindset. My name is

Carrie Green. We are here day after day and morning after morning to get our minds aligned

with the truth of God by looking at God's Word and then letting it apply to our lives in

practical ways. I hope that's how you're using the morning mindset. I hope that I can

help you in doing that in your life day after day as you listen. I want to remind you about

All right, today we're looking at another reality that we need to focus on as believers in

Jesus Christ. And this one really is a daily reality, a daily responsibility that we have.

And that is the responsibility to prepare our minds for action. We find this in 1 Peter chapter

1 verses 13 to 14. Peter says, therefore, preparing your minds for action and being so

reminded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation

of Jesus Christ. So Peter is giving us instruction of something we're to do with our

minds based on something that's coming in the future. Now let's dissect this a little

bit. He says, set your hope. And we all know what hope is. It's like wishful thinking in

a way, but it's actually more solid than that. It's looking forward to something that's

been promised with confidence to the point that we're relying on that thing, even though

it hasn't happened yet. We're counting on it happening because the one who promised,

in this case, God through Jesus Christ is faithful to make sure it comes about. So we

are to set our hope fully, fully friends, not just partially, not just a little bit here

and there, but we're to set our hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at
