During his first yearly review, his boss tells him that they don't give out big promotions for people in their first year, so OP doesn't get a promotion. OP decides that if they're going to pay him a minimum wage salary, then he's going to deliver minimum wage work! He stops doing all of his boss's work, and his boss's life immediately becomes miserable.
