knew I just had to visit was the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The prison opened in 1829, housed prisoners until 1971 when it closed.

So, the two of us went off and visited the Eastern State Penitentiary, which is now a haunted

attraction with thousands of visitors each year. What were we hoping to find exactly?

Well, maybe if we couldn't see a ghost, then perhaps Autumn would at least feel the presence of one.

The prison had long, shadowy corridors, dingy high stone walls, and barren crumbling cells that used to house many hardened criminals during its 142-year history.

There are reports of severe punishment and torture to some of the inmates, many of whom died within the stone walls of the prison.
