Paige Levin was tired and bored.

She was sitting in the backseat of her parents' car,

and they were on their way to Thanksgiving dinner at her grandma's house.

She had forgotten to charge the batteries on her tablet, so it was

almost dead. Outside was dark and cold. The flakes of snow whipped past the back window. The

weather report had reported light snow, but by the time they were on the road, it had fallen

steady and heavily. The roads were slick and icy, so her dad could only go about 30 miles an hour.

At this rate, her grandmother's house wouldn't be in their headlights for another 90 minutes or so.
