Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. It's time for you and for me to

get our minds aligned with the truth of God. And today's truth is that Jesus is the

sustainer. And we're going to get into what that means all the way down to a subatomic

level in just a moment. But before we get there, I want to encourage you to pause this

episode right now and share it with someone you know could use the kind of encouragement

that you receive from the morning mindset. You should be able to do that through a text

message, through an email, through social media even. Share the morning mindset and help

us expand the reach of this global audience. All right, today we're talking about Jesus

is the sustainer. I want to pull out two scripture passages here for us to consider and

then talk about what that really means in everyday life. Colossians chapter 1 verse 17 says,

speaking of Jesus, and he is before all things and in him, all things hold together. So

in him, all things hold together. Think of Jesus like glue. Okay, that's what Paul is describing

here. Now the writer of Hebrews says something similar in Hebrews 1 verse 3. He says, he

is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature. And he upholds

the universe by the word of his power. Okay, now this one is not so much looking at Jesus like the

glue that holds things together, but just looking at him more as the one who lifts everything

up and holds everything in place. I picture in this is probably a very small image compared

to the reality, but I picture a massive hand holding up the universe holding up every galaxy.

That's what that passage makes me think about. Now as I have been pondering this truth that Jesus

is the sustainer, it made me think about some of my old high school biology classes. Do you remember
