Hello my friends welcome back it is time for the morning mindset I hope you're

ready along with me to get your mind aligned with the truth of God and the

reason it's important for us to get our minds aligned with the truth of God is

because God's truth defines reality what he says is true is reality it is true

and for us to align ourselves with that means we are aligning ourselves with

the way things are and that is the way to a harmonious powerful and God

empowered life let's get started today we are talking in our reality's

series about God himself and about two particular characteristics of God we're

going to look at Exodus chapter 34 verses five and six now let me set this up

for you Moses is interacting with God up on the mountain he's away from the

people that he has been called to lead and he is up on the mountain interacting

with God now can you imagine that sort of a scenario in the first place and

Moses wanted to see God pass by him and God said no no no no Moses can't do

that because no man can see me and live now stop for a moment that's not a

threat that is an expression of the contrast between holy God and sinful mankind

we do not have the capacity to see God and all of his glory and splendor but God

makes a way for Moses to get a glimpse of him and then as the Lord passes by

he says to Moses some things about himself it's like he's declaring what it is

that Moses is seeing passed by so let me read for you Exodus 34 5 and 6 it says

the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there that's Moses and

proclaimed the name of the Lord the Lord passed before him and proclaimed the

Lord the Lord a God merciful and gracious slow to anger and abounding instead
