Welcome to our slash entitled Parents, where these controlling parents tell their son that

his pregnant wife has to have an abortion.

My entitled parents won't stop trying to convince us to have an abortion.

This happened a few years ago, but I'm telling it online for the first time now.

I am a 40 year old man, and I move from China to the US when I was eight years old, and

my parents have always used Chinese culture as an excuse for their behavior.

Growing up, my dad enjoyed beating me whenever you had a bad day at work or just wanted

to step on someone while my mum preferred to wear me down by methodically telling me

I was a failure, and it every little thing wrong.

She never acknowledged me as a person with my own goals, thoughts and preferences, but

rather as an extension of her, whose sole existence is to be demeaned, humiliated and

controlled for her amusements.

When I got engaged, my original plan was to exclude them entirely, but my wife, who

believes strongly in the bonds of family, convinced me otherwise.
