October 31st and I have a very special guest to join us on this episode of five minutes

in church history.

Hello, Dr. Sporole.

Hey, hello Steve, how are you?

Now, Dr. Sproole, I need to tell you that I am calling you from a rather important

place.

I am standing right next to the church doors of

the Castle Church in Vittenberg. Yes, I know that place. I've been there

before more than once and I'm really envious that you have the opportunity to be there now.

I wish you could be here too. These are the doors where Martin Luther nailed the 95 theses. Now I know that you've been in

Vittenberg on a few occasions. Could you just tell us two or three of your

favorite places in this town? One of my favorite places in this town.

One of my favorite places in that town, believe it or not, is a wrath scholar

where you go down the steps, when we weren't there to have lunch and when we were there that day they had a little

oump-ba-ba band in front of the Raskiller and they had this big tuba on the bell of

the tuba were inscribed the words in German.

Every time the gilder in the coffer rang a soul from purgatory spring,

I got a big kick out of that that even to this day they would

remember the words of tetsl. It's so hard to say what was my favorite place being at the Luther House.
