You know, being a parent is one of life's greatest gifts. It's exciting, it's rewarding,

and full of precious moments you will treasure forever.

But let's be honest, parenting is also one of the toughest jobs you'll ever have.

As Dr. James Dobson said many times on this broadcast, parenting isn't for cowards.

Raising children demands at least two decades of your life and often extends well into their adult years,

especially these days. I know a lot of parents who are raising millennials and Generation C can attest

to that. It's a calling that requires patience, wisdom, and tremendous commitment. And in today's

culture, the challenges facing parents have never been greater. That's why it's more important now,

more than ever before

for moms and dads to be renewed daily by God's word, leading their families by faith, not by fear or

stress. Dr. James Dobson and his wife Shirley were married nearly 65 years. As a matter of fact,

Dr. Dobson went home to be with the Lord on August the 21st, a mere six days

before he and Shirley would have marked 65 years of marriage. They raised two wonderful children

together while serving the Lord in full-time ministry, and along the way, they helped millions

of parents raise their own kids through encouragement, prayer, and timeless biblical resources.
