Hello, this is Father Dave Nix, and I am going to tell you about how I didn't always believe

in the Blessed Trinity. As you know, God the Father is God, God the Son is God, and God the Holy Spirit

is God. As I mentioned on another live podcast, That is something that every Eastern Orthodox,

every Roman Catholic, and most Protestants believe. But there was a period in my life that I

really struggled with that. And the reason I was thinking about that is I'm leaving a traditional

parish right now and I just finished the old rite vespers of the Blessed Trinity.

Complin and Matins are allowed to anticipate Matins.

It's very long in the old right.

Ten Psalms and nine readings.

Very beautiful, though.

And by anticipate, I mean we're able to do Matins, one of the eight canonical hours, anticipated for tomorrow, which in both the old calendar and the new calendar, is the feast of the Blessed Trinity.

Now, today, I was also in Denver, and I went to the grade school.

I went to very progressive grade school, and I kind of took a walk through memory lane graduated from there in 1992 and then

it was in 1993 I went to the Jesuit high school in town and I started reading my Bible in 1993.

I was 14 years old and what I noticed is there were many times like John 1428 when Jesus said things

like, the father is greater than I. And then I started studying on my own and I saw Mormons were

increasing a number and Jehovah's Witnesses were increasing a number. And so I really started to worry

my freshman year in high school.

Maybe Jesus was the son of God, but he wasn't God.

And I've always kind of had this OCD brain that just wanted to know and study and know and study.

And so I went and I talked to the Jesuits at my high school.

And they didn't have an answer.
