We had Michelle Elman, life coach on the podcast last week, talking about boundaries.

And what came off the back of that was that I struggle sometimes to be honest when I don't want to hurt people's

feelings. So there were tiny little white lies peppered throughout maybe my comms to make people

feel okay when let's say I can't make it for coffee. I could just say I'm struggling, I'm

overwhelmed, but I actually say I'm so sorry I've had a meeting that's been put in.

Tiny little inflections throughout my communications

that actually, after speaking to her, realized maybe there's a healthier place for me,

which is removing, I was going to say, the white, just the lie.

Just the lie.

The white and the lie, just the lie. Just the lie. The white and the lie.

Just the lying.

Because actually owning the reality creates a communication with people that actually

is a natural boundary, you know, that...

And it gives them permission to be able to be, you know, angry as well if you have let them

down last minute.

It's okay.
