Hey everybody, it's the NPR Politics Podcast here with your results from Tuesday nights Wisconsin

primary vote.

As a result of the people of Wisconsin defying the media, defying the pundits, I am more

and more convinced that our campaign is going to earn the 1237 delegates needed.

We have now won seven out of eight of the last caucuses and brothers.

Party Sanders and Ted Cruz won the night.

I'm Scott Detro, campaign reporter and I'm Dominican Montenegro political editor.

And we are here with a little more about what Sanders and Cruz's victories mean and what's

next to the race.

Dominican big night for Ted Cruz especially.

Well Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders both had big victories.

Ted Cruz finishing with the majority of the vote looks like he beat Donald Trump here.

He's going to get the lion's share of the delegates out of tonight.

That's going to make it just a little bit harder for Donald Trump to get a majority of

the vote.

Now it might not be a, you know, giant night for Ted Cruz necessarily because he's not

going to be able to pick up a majority of delegates probably by Cleveland by the summer

convention.

But what it does mean is it looks like we are heading to a historic open convention because

it's been a very tight path for Donald Trump to get the delegates he needs to clinch

the nomination on the first ballot and avoid this floor fight.
