0:51.9	Well, there is someone who's making a noise and writing about strategies in which we as
0:56.3	citizens can begin to change and reform the system and that is Matthew Desmond who's
1:03.1	joined us.
1:04.1	Matthew, I want to pick up on your last point before the break about the language that
1:11.3	we should be looking to employ to change this conversation so that we can better engage
1:19.6	in solving the problem, maybe even put it out there, get better at electing people
1:26.3	who actually give a damn about the problem.
1:29.2	I think that kind of feeds into the beast too.
1:31.6	I know on my side the first thing, anybody starts screaming and crying about, you know,
1:38.2	when you talk about various solutions, it's always cost too much.
1:42.3	And when I hear that from representatives in places like Mississippi, the poorest state
1:47.4	in the country, Appalachia, West Virginia, Alabama, and other places, especially in the
1:55.0	South, which is driven with poverty, even though seemingly they act like it doesn't exist
