1:01.3	About a week ago as they as the eight members of the Republican Party decided to vacate the chair
1:11.9	and as as Republicans put it teamed up with Democrats to oust Kevin McCarthy.
1:21.0	Can I just state for the record upfront, Democrats had 15 times to vote for Kevin McCarthy.
1:30.0	They never did. They were given a 16th time to vote for Kevin McCarthy.
1:36.4	Being consistent with the previous 15, they did not. But for eight Republicans,
1:45.6	call it well, but for one Republican, Matt Gates of Florida exercising his right under the rules
1:55.1	to call for the chair to be vacated, Kevin McCarthy would still be sitting in that chair.
2:03.3	So what is it that we miss about what didn't happen here?
2:10.0	I can tell you what my sources are telling me. And by the way, I also have sources that have asked
