Welcome back everybody. We got Michael Eric Dyson with us and we're talking about the book,

the newest book out this week, Long Time Coming, Reckoning with Race in America.

Professor Dyson, as you look at where we are, a president who's basically barricaded himself

in the White House. As I envisioned it sitting in his underwear rocking in the corner saying he won.

But then having minions go out there and repeat that lie over and over again.

You have an incoming president who's trying his best to find that reckoning moment

to help the country move forward and he begin to heal and begin to deal with these issues that

many of which you touched on. How do you see America repositioning itself

in a Biden era? Obviously the historic nature of having a Kamala Harris at a side.

We get all of that and that's important. But we know it's much more than the symbolism. We talked

on it, talked about that touched on that a little bit about having the love notes but not doing

the work. How do you see the work going forward as you sort of draw out in Long Time Coming

...
