Obviously, not all of us speak Spanish, but I think you know what that was.

That was a friend, a hero of mine, which is not something you normally say about people that are

younger than you. But that was the great Raffinadal telling us some news that is not unexpected,

but it still hits the heartstrings in a certain way. Raffinadal is retiring from tennis. He will

play Davis Cup next month or later this year in Malaga for Spain, kind of completing the circle.

You know, there's no script for this show.

I think there aren't a lot of words to try to explain what Rafa has done, the way he went about his business, what these three players

have accomplished is just looting tunes. And there are a couple things I want to really get to.

And this is going to be a very short podcast compared to the, you know, hours that we normally do.

But there's just certain moments in tennis where you kind of have to react in

real time and you feel the need to express the scale of your respect, of my respect. And so we

kind of emergency got the team together, producer Mike here, Techie Sean, John Wertheim is

traveling. So we will get into a longer

Rafa conversation next week. But I'm going to have producer Mike just kind of run through

some of the just impossibly complete accolades of Rafa. Yeah, these are ridiculous. I mean,

it's 209 weeks ranked ATP world number one, five time year

end world number one, only player in the world to be world number one in three separate

decades, which is just a nuts thing to think about. I mean, that's like Tom Brady s. Goat

stuff. Five time ATP player of the year, five-time ITF World Champion, and 2019 Davis

Cup MVP. And we have 2013 ATP comeback player of the year. And it looks like John Wertheim

is in a car and has actually just joined. Oh, look at this treat. John, I just kind of went
