Carson Wentz, who is day to day, and also the shoulder injury to a rookie wide receiver,

Jayland Rager, that will keep him out for about a month.

It's a shame that the Eagles won't have Rager for at least the opener, but on the

plus side it's possible that it will give the other guys a chance to shine, and it just so happens that

the Eagles receivers are looking excellent in training camp under the guidance of new wider series coach

Aaron Morehead who really has the young guys cooking in particular.

PFF recently put out a list of 10 rookies that could surprise you in

2020 and they included the Eagles fifth round wide receiver John High Tower in that group.

Talking about High Tower's deep thread ability, PFF had this to say, quote, he earned the 16th best deep receiving grade in college. his deep

receiving grade in college football over his final two years at Boise State

while his nine deep touchdowns with at least a step of separation in that

span tied for the second most. He's more than just a deep threat too as he's a complete route runner.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to see him break away from Phillies defensive backs in camp. Philadelphia got great value for high tower in a loaded receiving class and he's a player who was capable of making some noise year one."
