And they, those that are vying for it, okay, for that chief seat, that position, those that are vying for that,

those that are vying for that, think that because that they were invited, they're the most important person on the guest list.

You have to process that and think that way.

You may not have said it and sold it to yourself in that exact fashion,

but you quickly scan the room and you look at yourself and you compare yourself with the room

and you compare yourself with the room and you compare yourself with the

manager of the feast and you say well I know he's got no more important friends than me

so I'm just going to go ahead and take this elevated seat right because I know that he didn't

invite anybody else that's more important than me yeah there might be a name tag with a different name on it.

And what Jesus is telling them is that you don't become so intoxicated on the fact that you are invited

that you think you are the most important.

Just because you are important enough to be invited does not mean that you are the most important

person invited.
