Thank you again for joining us as we study the Word of God.

You know, the motto for our ministry is following God's word, finding Christ joy.

I really believe that the closer we follow to Christ, the deeper we go

into the Word of God, the more and more of His joy we discover because the truth, the truth

does something for you that nothing else can. And that's why when you have questions, you have to go to the Word of God for the answers.

Now, two questions today.

The first is, I think, one that I've heard through the years, and probably people would

define it a little differently.

But let me try to answer it today.

One of our listeners has asked, what would you say are the basics of the Christian life?

What are the basics? That's a great question. You know, we have a tendency to make our own lists, don't we?

So we come up with what we think are most important. And I must tell you, most of the time,

those lists fall short because they're incomplete.

How can you summarize all of the privileges of the Christian life,

all of the responsibilities of the Christian life?

So what is the answer to that question?

How do you know what the basics of the Christian faith happen to be. Well, I would say this to you. The Christian

faith at its core is relational in nature. Now, let that sink in just a moment. Our God is relational.

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, co-equal, coexistent, co-eternal, the beautiful, perfect oneness of the Godhead.

He makes man in his own image.
